Sky

Set the primary color to blue. Select the Gradient Tool.

Click and drag down on the canvas. [Enter] to set the colors.

Your Background layer should now look something like this…

Mountains

Mountain #1

Insert a new layer.

Select the Line/Curve tool. In the tool optoins, set the thickness to “10”.

Select a dark color. You can open “More” and use the “S” and “V” sliders to get the color you want.

Draw a line across the canvas…

… then drag the circles/points to adjust the curves, making sure the end points are off the canvas.

Click off to set the line…

Select the Paint Bucket tool.

Change the color to a lighter shade of that color.

Then click inside the mountain area.

Double-click on the layer and rename it to “mtn 1”.

More Mountains

Duplicate the mountain layer 2x.

Select the Move tool.

Select one of the bottom layers, then click and drag the mountain over and down a bit to the right.

[Enter] to get rid of the dotted outline.

Select the other bottom mountain

Then click on the canvas and move the mountains down and over to the left…

[Enter] to get rid of the dotted outline.

Mountain Colors

Select one of the background mountains, then go up to Adjustments > Hue/Saturation… and drag the Hue slider to the right/left to get a different color.

Select the other mountain layer and adjust the color to something else…

Sun

Insert a new layer. Rename it ‘sun’.

Select the Shapes tool, then go to the top and select the Ellipse option.

Then set it to draw Fill & Outline mode.

Click and draw out a circle/oval for the sun, then set the outside and inside colors.

Move the layer down below the mountains.

Select the Move tool and move it between 2 of the mountains on the left or right. [Enter] to get rid of the dotted outline.

Hills

Hill #1

Insert a new layer. Make sure it’s at the top and rename it ‘hill’.

Select the Shapes tool and choose Heart.

Change it to draw Fill only and choose a hill color.

Drag out a really big heart so it’s about this size. Click off to set it.

Hill #2

Insert a new layer, name it “hill”.

Choose a different hill color. You can use the Hue or Vibrancy slider to get a different shade of the same color if you like.

Then go to Shapes and change to Ellipse

Draw out an oval, covering the middle of the heart…

Bushes

Bushes Front

Insert a new layer, rename it “bushes”.

Select the Shapes tool and change the type to Callout.

Choose a color…

Click and drag out bushes along the bottom left area and off the side on the right.

When you click off the shapes, you will have something like this…

Bushes Back

Insert a new layer.

Rename it “bushes back”. Move it down below the top hill.

Change the color.

Draw out a bush on the right and one going off the left side, behind the hill.

Your layers should look like this…
