Click on the photo below to open the full-size image (648×720). Copy it.

In Photoshop get a new file/document (CTRL+N) and paste the photo (CTRL+V).
Adjustment Layer
Add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer…


First check the box for “colorize”. Then slide the Hue to whatever color you like…


Layer Mask
Default colors (D), then switch so white = foreground (X)

Make sure the mask part of the adjustment layer is selected.

Fill the mask with black (CTRL+Backspace)

Paint Over Hair
Select the Brush Tool, make it a basic brush, softer, decent size …

Then paint/brush on the maskover hair area…

Clean Up Edges
Make your Brush tool totally soft (0% hardness) and around size 50.

Switch the color to black and clean up edges:
- no color on skin
- no glow around the head
- clean up hair line

This is cleaned up, good.

Change Color (Hue)
If you want to change the hair color, double-click on the Hue/Saturation thumbnail… and adjust the Hue slider
