Slide #1

Go to the Animations tab.

On Slide #1, click in the title box and add any green/entrance animation to the title.

Open the Animation Pane

In the Animation Pane, right-click and Hide Advanced Timeline so you see a mouse icon.

Start: “On Click”

Slide #2: Animals

Click in the list box, and add any green animation.

You should then see #1-4 beside each list item.

Expand the list by clicking on the grey bar… you should see all the bullet text.

Slide #3: Foods

Click in the box and add green animation.

Expand the list by clicking on the grey bar… you should see all the bullet text.

Slide #4

Select all the pictures on the slide (SHIFT-click).

Add any green animation. You should then see the same number “1” beside each picture.

With all pictures selected, force the Start for all of them to be On Click. Each picture should then have different numbers.

Stacking Order / Back-to-Front

Make sure the pictures in the back (behind other pictures) are coming in first, before the pictures in the front.

You can fix it by either changing the animation order or the stacking order:

Slide #5

Select all the pictures on the slide using SHIFT-click.

Then add any green/entrance animation.

With the pictures still selected, change Start for all of them to be On Click. They should then have different numbers.

Stacking Order / Back-to-Front

Make sure pictures are coming in back-to-front by changing animation order or stacking order.

Slide #6: Birthday

Title

Click in the title for your birthday and set to Bounce

  1. In the Animation Pane, right-click on the Title animation and to to Effects.
  2. Change Animate text to from “All at once” to “By letter”. Then click on OK.

Picture

  1. Select the picture and add the Shape animation.
  2. Then go to Effect Options and change to Out.

Start: With Previous

Slide #2

Select all the pictures using SHIFT-click

Add green/entrance animations. They will all have the same #.

Right-click on the first Picture animation and change Start to With Previous.

There should be no mouse icon beside the first/any Picture animations.

Slide #3

  1. Select all the pictures
  2. Add animation
  3. Set them all to “With Previous

So all Picture animations have no mouse icon and the same # as the last bullet.

Picture Order

Slide #2

Click on the picture for the first bullet. It will be highlighted in the Animation Pane.

Then drag it up so it’s under the bullet animation and let go.

Do the same for the next bullet/picture:

  1. click on the picture for the next bullet
  2. drag it up under the bullet’s animation.

The last picture stays after the grey bar.

Test out the slide that it works.

  • Preview: button at the top left of the Animations tab, OR
  • View Current Slide: button at the bottom of your window;
    Esc key to get back to working on your slides.

Slide #3

Do the same on this slide – select each picture and drag it up under the matching bullet’s animation.

On the slide, make sure the picture # = bullet #

Keep the Animation Pane open and get your project checked off.
