Theme Color
Go to the Design tab, and click on the Variants drop-down menu. Choose Colors … hover over the color list until you find one you like….


You might get something like this…

Headings
Layout: Master
Go to the VIEW tab > Slide Master…

Select the top/master layout (the one with the “1” beside it).
This sets the fonts on all the other slides.

Font Type
Go back to the Home tab…

Click on the border of the title box (or select the inside the box).

Change the font type.


Choose one of the following fun/thicker font types:
- Cooper Black
- Hobo Std
- Jumble
- Showcard Gothic
- Stencil





Quick Style
Then go to Shape Format and under Quick Styles choose one of the styles that stands out and is easy to read.


You can play with more options for the:
- Fill (gradient)
- Outline (color, thickness) and
- Effects (shadow, bevel).


Font Size
Pump up to the font size to “54”.


You should see the headings have trickled down to the other layouts…

Title Layout
Go to the 2nd layout…

Select the title text and pump up to size 96.

Select the subtitle text and pump up to 36.



Year
Go to the 3rd layout ‘Title & Content’.

Go to the INSERT tab, and insert WordArt… choose the white indented one…

You’ll now have a text box like this on your slide…

- Type in your year.
- Then click on the top arrow/handle and rotate it so it’s sideways; hold SHIFT so it’s straight
- Hover over the edge of the text box – when your cursor turns to a 4-pointed arrow, click and drag the box over…



Section Layout
Select the last layout (for the song slides)…

Title Box
Select the title box (or the text in the box) and …
Reduce the font size to 66.

Also align text to the right.



Go to Shape Styles > Quick Styles and change the style of the title box so it’s easier to read, stands out more, and is not the same color as the subtitle box (song name).


Subtitle Box
Pump up the font size to 32.

Also align text to the right.

If the color in the subtitle box is hard to read, you may need to change it to a brighter color from your theme colors…



Go back to your slides, Normal View

Your first and last slides should look something like this…


Adjust Pictures
List Slides: not coviring any text?
Your list slides should look like this now.

Adjust the size of the pictures or move them so they are not covering any of the title/text…


The last 2 list slides are fine as the pictures are along the bottom and the design does not affect them…


Song Slides
Select the picture, then go to Picture Format tab and add a Quick Style. You can choose ANY STYLE except this one (the border is just too thick)…



Add picture styles on each song slide and make sure it’s a style that fills the empty area on the left…
- Adjust picture sizes as needed to fill/fit in the empty area on the left…


- adjust the width of the title box if singer text is on 2 lines to have more on the bottom…


- choose the flatter/tilted style – if singer text is on 2 lines to have more on the bottom…


Get checked off
Go back into Slide Master View to get checked off…
