Click on this link — Songs by Artists — to see a list of artists with 4+ songs…

If you don’t have a starting file…
Start with a blank Word document. Go to the Insert tab and insert a Table > 2 x 8.


Type in a word below the table, set the font type to Courier New, size 18.

Then go to more Font options …

…and set to default

Then click on OK.

Table & Text
Merge Row 1
Select the 1st row

Merge.


Singer Text
Type your singer in the first row.

Songs Text
Each singer’s section has a list of songs with the years like this…

Copy the year and song name for 4 songs from your singer into the table:
- leave an empty rows for the photos
- leave an empty row between the songs

- select all (CTRL+A) and Clear Formatting
- make sure there are no empty lines before/after text in the rows!


Fonts
Singer Heading
Select the page heading and set the font type to Stencil and size 48


Year Headings
Select the first row of years and set the font to Stencil, 36.


Select the other row of years and set to Stencil, 36.


Font Style
Select the heading rows and set the font style to one of these styles




Spacing
Paragraph Spacing
- Select all the text on the page (CTRL+A) and go to the Layout tab.
- In the Paragraph section, set the Spacing to 6pt before & after.



Bottom Margin
Bring down the bottom margin to the 1/2″ mark…


Table Formatting
Cell Alignment
Select the table and go to table Layout … set cell alignment to middle-middle.



Table Design
No Border
Select the table and set the Border to “No Border”…



Border Painter
With the table still selected, go to the Table Design tab…

- Set the Pen Color to the dark color that’s in your headings’ style…
- Set the style of the line to the double line (thick & thing)…
- Click on the Border Painter…

Click and drag from left to right on the edge of the year rows… when you click off, you’ll see the lines.


Shading
Select the year rows and set the shading to the lightest shade of the same color…


Pictures
View Gridlines
Before starting this, click anywhere in the table and go to the Table Layout … set to View Gridlines.


Open Year Pages
Click on the links for the years for your songs…
First Picture
Right-click and “Copy Image” for the first singer/song picture. Click in the empty cell under the name…

Paste it and then go to the Picture Format tab …
- Crop Aspect Ratio > 1:1
- Set the Height to 2″.



Set the Quick Style to the rounded bevel one, then click off to set it.



Other Pictures
Repeat for the other 3 songs…
Crop>Aspect Ratio>1:1

Picture Height = 2″

Quick Style


Hide Gridlines
Go back to the Table Layout tab and unselect the View Gridlines button.
