Getting Started
Page Layout
Change the Layout > Orientation > Landscape.
Bottom Margin
Go to the Ruler and pull down the Bottom Margin to the 1/2″.
Insert Table
Go to the Insert tab and insert a Table that has 4 columns and 3 rows.
Text
Add Singers
In the first row, type out the name of 4 singers/bands.
[Enter] before the last names so they’re on separate lines.
Default Font
- Select everything on the page (CTRL+A).
- Then change the font type to Century Gothic, size 14.
Bullets
Select the row and make them bullets.
Songs Text
Type in 2-4 songs for each singer…
Make sure you don’t have too many songs in all of them (we want to have a difference in how much space they take up).
- outside columns: 2 singers = 2 songs
- inside column: 1 singer = 3 songs
- inside column: 1 singer = 4 songs
Bullet Symbols
Select the last row of bullets …
Go to Bullets > Define New Bullet… then click on Symbol…
- Change the Font type from Symbol to (normal text)
- Change the subset to Miscellaneous Symbols
- Select the music note.
Then Click OK to close the window. You should now see musical notes for the bullets. Say OK.
The bullet list should now look like this…
Paragraph Spacing
Select everything on the page (CTRL+A).
Then go to Paragraph options… set the Spacing to 12 pt before & after.
There should now be space between the rows and bullets….
Headings
Select the page heading and change the font type to Snap ITC, size 36.
Select the first row and set the font to Snap ITC, size 20.
Alignment
Page Heading
Click on the page heading line and center it.
Cell Alignment
Select the entire table.
Then go to the Table Layout tab and set the Cell Alignment to middle-middle.
Shading
Row 1
Select the first row and add shading with a dark color.
With the row still selected, change the font color to white.
Click off to see how it looks…
Row 2
Select the 2nd row and set the shading to the lightest shade of the same color.
Click off to see it…
Borders
Select the entire table…
Go to Borders & Shading options…
In the window that opens up:
- Set the style to dashed.
- Set to the dark color.
- Change the thickness to 3
- Click on None.
- Click on the vertical line.
- OK to close the window.
Your table should now look like this…
Page Heading Color
Select the page heading and set it to the same dark color.
Pictures
Do a Google Image search and copy the full-size picture. Then click inside the empty cell for the first singer…
… and paste using the button or keyboard shortcut CTRL+V.
If the picture is really big, first size it down a bit, set the Row Height to about 3 inches…
- Go to Crop > Aspect Ratio > 1:1 so the picture will be square.
- Change the width or height to 1.8″ and [Enter]
- Click off to set the size.
- Select the picture again and set the Quick Style to the first one.
For each picture:
- Click in the table cell and go to Insert > Pictures > Online Pictures
- Search for a picture (make sure the Creative Commons box is unchecked!
- Crop > Aspect Ratio > 1:1
- Set the height/width to 1.8″
- Add the same Quick Style.
Uncheck CC box
Crop > Aspect Ratio > 1:1

When you’ve done the same thing for each singer, they should look like this…
Make sure you don’t have an extra page.
