Animation Pane
Go to the Animations tab.
Click on the Animation Pane button to see the pane on the right.
Slide #2: Toy Story
Animate Lists
- Go to the first list slide and click in the text box with the list.
- Choose any green animation in the Animation drop-down menu.
- You will then see numbers “1”, “2” and “3” beside the list like this.
In the Animation Pane, right-click and Hide Advanced Timeline so you see a mouse icon.
Expand the list by clicking on the grey bar…
Animate Pictures
Select all the pictures on the slide:
- Click on 1 picture
- Hold SHIFT
- Then click on the other pictures.
Add animation (any green one). On the slide they will all have “4” beside them.
Click off the pictures and in the Animation Pane, select the one with the mouse icon beside it, then go to more options. Change Start to With Previous.
This should take away the # & mouse icon beside the first picture.
Picture Order
- On the Slide: Click on the photo: Woody
This makes it highlighted in the Animation Pane. - Animation Pane: drag it up under the 1st bullet.
- On the Slide: click on the photo: Buzz.
- Animation Pane: drag it up under the 2nd bullet.
- The last picture stays after the grey bar; you don’t have to do anything.
On the slide, the pictures should now have matching numbers with the bullets.
If you want to see how it looks, click on the Preview button.
Or you can click on the View Current Slide button on the bottom-right, or hit F5 to watch the entire slide show (and Esc to go back to your working mode).
Slide #3: Despicable Me
Animate List
Click in the list and add green animation.
Expand the list in the Animation Pane.
Animate Pictures
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click) and add animation.
Change the first Picture animation to Start: “With Previous” (so no mouse icon).
Picture Order
Select each picture on the slide and drag it up in the Animation Pane so it’s under the matching bullet.
Slide #4: Frozen
Animate List
Click in the list and add green animation.
Expand the list in the Animation Pane.
Animate Pictures
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click) and add animation.
Change the first Picture animation to Start: “With Previous” (so no mouse icon).
Picture Order
Select each picture on the slide and drag it up in the Animation Pane so it’s under the matching bullet.
Slide #5: Inspirational
Animate Pictures
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click)…
… add any green animation…
… so you see number “1” beside each picture.
Start “On Click”
Then go to Start and use the drop-down menu to choose On Click (even if it says that to start), so that all pictures get a number, not just the first one.
Picture Order
Make sure the pictures in the back (“Inside out” and “Monsters Inc”) are coming in first. If not, move the pictures up/down in the list…
Slide #6: Animals
- ANIMATE PICTURES: Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click), and add any green animation.
- ON CLICK: Then go to Start and use the drop-down menu to choose On Click (even if it says that to start), so that all pictures get a mouse icon / number, not just the first one.
- PICTURE ORDER: Make sure the pictures in the back are coming in first. If not, move the pictures up/down in the list…

List Slides
- Each bullet should have a mouse icon (“On Click”)
- Each picture should have no mouse icon (“With Previous”)
