Animation Pane
Go to the Animations tab.
Click on the Animation Pane button to see the pane on the right.
On Slide #1, click in the title box and add any green/entrance animation. Once you do, you should see a “1” beside the title box…
In the Animation Pane, right-click > Hide Advanced Timeline … you should then see a mouse icon.
List Slides
Animate Lists
Slide #2: Toy Story
- Go to the first list slide and click in the text box with the list.
- Choose any green animation in the Animation drop-down menu (except “Appear”).
- You will then see numbers “1”, “2” and “3” beside the list like this.
- Expand the list by clicking on the grey bar…
Slide #3: Despicable Me
- Click inside the list and add any green animation so you get the #s beside each bullet.
- Expand the list in the Animation Pane.
Slide #4: Frozen
- Click inside the list and add any green animation so you get the #s beside each bullet.
- Expand the list in the Animation Pane.
Animate Pictures
Slide #2: Toy Story
Go back to the first list slide and select all the pictures (SHIFT-click):
- Click on 1 picture
- Hold SHIFT
- Then click on the other pictures.
- Add any green animation.
The pictures on the slide should now all have a “4” beside them...
- Click off the pictures and in the Animation Pane, select the one with the mouse icon beside it, then go to more options. Change Start to With Previous.
- This should take away the # & mouse icon beside the first picture.
- The pictures on the slide should now all have a “3” beside them...
Slide #3: Despicable Me
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click) and add any green animation.
The pictures on the slide should now all have a “5” beside them...
Change the first Picture animation to Start: “With Previous” (so no mouse icon).
The pictures on the slide should now all have a “4” beside them...
Slide #4: Frozen
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click) and add animation.
The pictures on the slide should now all have a “5” beside them...
Change the first Picture animation to Start: “With Previous” (so no mouse icon).
The pictures should then have a “4” beside them on the slide.
Picture Order
Slide #2: Toy Story
- On the Slide: Click on the photo: Woody
This makes it highlighted in the Animation Pane. - Animation Pane: drag it up under the 1st bullet.
- On the Slide: click on the photo: Buzz.
- Animation Pane: drag it up under the 2nd bullet.
- The last picture stays after the grey bar; you don’t have to do anything.
On the slide, the pictures should now have matching numbers with the bullets.
If you want to see how it looks, click on the Preview button, or you can click on the View Current Slide button on the bottom-right and Esc to go back to your working mode.
Slide #3 & #4
Select each picture on the slide and drag it up in the Animation Pane so it’s under the matching bullet.
Get your slides checked so far…
Pictures Only
Slide #5: Inspirational
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click) and add any green animation. All the pictures will have a “1” beside them on the slide…
Then go to Start and use the drop-down menu to choose On Click (even if it says that to start)…
Once you do that, all the animations should have a different number on the slide. Make sure the back pictures come in “1” and “2”.
Slide #6: Animals
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click), and add any green animation.
Then go to Start and use the drop-down menu to choose On Click (even if it says that to start). Once you do that, all the animations should have a different number with a mouse icon…
Make sure the pictures are coming in the order shown below…
Slide #5: Superheroes
Select all the pictures (SHIFT-click), and add any green animation.
Then go to Start and use the drop-down menu to choose On Click (even if it says that to start). Once you do that, all the animations should have a different number with a mouse icon…
Make sure the pictures are coming in this order (back-to-front)…
- Each bullet should have a mouse icon (“On Click”)
- Each picture should have no mouse icon (“With Previous”)
